Harrison and Peg Phillips Artist Statement

We enjoy the detail that surrounds us every day and try to capture that detail in our artwork. We utilize various pieces of equipment to create our artwork including cameras, scanners, printers, computers, saws, joiners, staplers, and hammers. We usually work with canvas, pigment ink, and varnish.

We are currently exhibiting our hand stretched canvases which are varnished and ready to hang.

We travel with a travel trailer which allows us to spend a great deal of time surrounded by nature. The quiet forests and streams provide the inspiration for much of our art work.

We exhibit and sell at juried art shows throughout the central United States including Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.

The two of us enjoy sharing all aspects of studio life. We do not have a gallery but you are welcome to view our offerings in our booth at one or more of the art shows we will be at or at our garage storage area and van, please call ahead to make sure one of us will be there.
